Famous for its unique natural tufa rock formations and crystal-clear water, Pyramid Lake provides habitat for deer, antelope, bighorn sheep, and migratingwaterfowl, and with its largepopulation of Lahontan cutthroat trout, offers excellent opportunities for fishing.
Legth: 96 miles. Start/Endpoint: Byway begins at the Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation border. At itsjunction with NV 446, it forks and continues northwestto Sutcliffe or southeast, on NV 446, to Nixon. At Nixon theByway forks again, north onto NV 447 to its nearby terminus or south onto NV 447 to Wadsworth. Time to Allow: 2 hours including backtracking. Designation/Year: National Scenic Byway (1996).
