It had an interest in several financial concerns and banks in Switzerland and abroad.

As of June 1977 the bank had total assets of 43.0 billion Swiss francs; current accounts and deposits of other banks totaled 12.3 billion francs, and those of other clients, 15.4 billion francs. The bank had capital and reserves of 2.7 billion francs, loans and discounted bills of 19.9 billion francs, mortgages of 3.0 billion francs, and accounts in other banks totaling 12.3 billion francs.

The three classic symptoms are softened areas of the skull and other flat bones, exophthalmos, and diabetes insipidus, although all three symptoms are rarely found in one patient. otitis frequently accompanies the disease. Skin lesions resembling those of seborrheic dermatitis may appear, as may xanthomas. Treatment depends on the symptoms associated with the disease. X-ray therapy is sometimes helpful in treating specific local lesions, and corticosteroids have been used with success in some cases. Complete recovery does occur, but about 40 per cent of the cases end fatally. Called also Hand's disease, Schüller's disease, Schüller-Christian disease, and chronic idiopathic xanthomatosis.
