A UK term of art for an autopsy which is potentially problematic due to an array of factors, including:(1) Complex clinical features (e.g., death in epilepsy, sudden death in a young athlete);
(2) Increased likelihood of third party scrutiny (e.g., by lawyers in maternal death, or by the public in a celebrity death); or by
(3) Highly specialised colleagues (e.g., paediatric pathologists, forensic pathologists, neuropathologists or paediatric forensic neuropathologists).
