Anthrenus Museorum
a museum beetle of the family Dermestidae. The body, 2–3mm long, is black with yellow spots, and the elytra are striped with three narrow, wavy bands. Anthrenus museorum is found in homes, warehouses, and museums. The larva, up to 6 mm long and covered with long hairs, feeds on feathers and wool. It damages fur, stuffed birds and animals, and dried insects in museum collections.
