Location:Off Hana Highway (Highway 360) at the end of Waianapanapa Road, 53 miles east of Kahului Airport (3-hour drive).
Facilities:Campground, cabins, picnic areas, hiking trails, beach, cultural sites.
Activities:Camping, shore fishing, hiking, nature study.
Special Features:Located on a remote, wild, low-cliffed volcanic coastline, the park offers an excellent opportunity to study a seabird colony or hike along an ancient Hawaiian coastal trail. Park features also include native hala forest, a legendary cave, a heiau (place of worship), natural stone arch, sea stacks, blow holes, and a small black sand beach.
