Toksun

a city in northwestern China, in the Sinkiang Uighur Autonomous Region; situated on the western border of the Turfan Depression. Population, 25,000 (1953). Toksun, a transit point on the Turfan-Kashgar Highway, has enterprises of the textile and food-processing industries. It is the center of an irrigated agricultural region.
