Tumanian

(called Dzagidzor until 1951), an urban-type settlement in Tumanian Raion, Armenian SSR. Situated on the right bank of the Debed River in the Kura River basin, Tumanian is 4 km from the Kober railroad station on the Tbilisi-Leninakan line. A plant for the production of refractory materials and a museum of local lore are located in the settlement, which was named in honor of O. T. Tumanian.
