Ukrainsk

(until 1963, the urban-type settlement of Lesovka), a city in Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, under the jurisdiction of the Selidovo city soviet. Located 4 km from the railroad junction Tsukurikha, from which lines run to Donetsk, Krasnoar-meisk, and Kurakhovka. Population, 20,000 (1976). Coal is mined near Ukrainsk, and there is an ore-dressing plant in the city.
