(RhIG) (im-yūn' glob'yū-lin) A concentrated solution of IgG anti-D that is administered to an Rh-negative person who has been exposed to Rh-positive red blood cells, particularly a woman who may be carrying or has aborted an Rh-positive fetus or has delivered an Rh-negative baby, to counteract the immunizing effect of the cells.
