Tolochin

a city (since 1955) and the administrative center of Tolochin Raion, Vitebsk Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Tolochin is situated at the headwaters of the Drut’ River (a tributary of the Dnieper) on the Moscow-Minsk highway, 4 km from the Tolochin railroad station on the Orsha-Minsk line. The city has a creamery and plants for the production of starch, asphalt, processed flax, and textiles.
