SIMSCRIPT

[′sim‚skript] (computer science) A high-level programming language used in simulation, in which systems are described in terms of sets, entities, which are groups of sets, and attributes, which are properties associated with entities.

SIMSCRIPT

A free-form, English-like general-purpose simulationlanguage produced by Harry Markowitz et al of Rand Corp in1963. It was implemented as a Fortran preprocessor onIBM 7090 and was designed for large discrete simulations.It influenced Simula. Later versions included SIMSCRIPT I.5 and SIMSCRIPT II.5.

SIMSCRIPT

A discrete-event simulation language for Windows, Unix and Linux from CACI Products Company, San Diego, CA (www.caciasl.com). Developed by Harry Markowitz while at the RAND Corporation in the mid-1950s, SIMSCRIPT has been used worldwide for a variety of simulations.
