QNH
QNHA term used in Q, or basic communication code, that means the atmospheric pressure reduced to sea level pressure as calculated. The height of a place above mean sea level will be indicated when QNH is set on the altimeter subscale. It is presumed that the conditions are in accordance with the international standard atmosphere (ISA). The regional QNH, or the lowest forecast QNH, is the value below which the actual QGH is predicted not to fall in the given period of time. Thus, it provides a safe terrain clearance. QNH is set before commencing the descent, and the height is indicated in feet and not in flight levels thereafter.QNH
