Ulan Bator Meat-Packing Plant

 

an enterprise of the food industry in the Mongolian People’s Republic, producing meat and various meat products, including sausages. The plant also produces bone meal, candles, and other products from the by-products of meat production. The Ulan Bator Meat-packing Plant went into operation, with assistance from the USSR, in February 1946. Its output is 200 tons of meat a day (1975), which is exported to member-countries of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (COMECON).
