Ulbeia
Ul’beia
a river in Khabarovsk Krai, RSFSR. The Ul’beia is 399 km long and drains an area of 13,500 sq km. It rises in the Suntar-Khayata Range, flows southward along the Kukhtuiskii Range, and empties into the Sea of Okhotsk. The river’s mouth is blocked by silt. The Ul’beia is fed by snow and rain. It freezes between late October and mid-November, and the ice breaks up in May. The river is a spawning ground for salmon.
