Strep·to·coc·cus mil·ler·i group

(strep'tō-kok'ŭs mil'ler-ī grūp) A term used to refer to the Streptococcus intermedius group, which contains three distinct streptococcal species: S. intermedius, S. constellatus, and S. anginosus. These bacteria are found in the human oral cavity and have been associated with a variety of infections including bacteremia, endocarditis, and central nervous system, oral, and thoracic infections.
