A pseudogene on 7q11.23 that encodes a protein belonging to the DNA mismatch repair mutL/hexB family. It is highly expressed in the kidneys, spleen, adrenal gland, oesophagus, duodenum, colon, bladder, ovaries, cerebrum and cerebellum.
