Teleshov, Nikolai Afanas’evich
Born Jan. 20 (Feb. 1), 1828; died Feb. 15 (27), 1895, in St. Petersburg. Russian military officer and designer of one of the first jet aircraft.
The flight vehicle designed by Teleshov had a delta wing; atmospheric oxygen was to be used for combustion of the liquid fuel. In 1867, Teleshov received a French patent for this vehicle.
