Ulianovka

a city (since 1974) and the administrative center of Ul’ianovka Raion, Kirovograd Oblast, Ukrainian SSR; situated on the Sinitsa River, a left tributary of the Iuzhnyi Bug River. Served by the Grushka railroad station on the Gaivoron-Pod-gorodnaia line. Population, 10,900 (1975). Ul’ianovka has a sugar-processing plant and other food-processing enterprises.

(until 1922, Sablino), an urban-type settlement in Tosno Raion, Leningrad Oblast, RSFSR; situated on the Tosna River, a tributary of the Neva. Population, 14,600 (1975). Ul’ianovka is served by the Sablino railroad station on the Leningrad-Tosno line, 41 km from Leningrad. The settlement was renamed in honor of V. I. Lenin, whose real surname was Ul’ianov.
