Summers are warm, with an average temperature in July of 19°C, and winters are moderately cold, with average January temperatures ranging from —10° to — 15°C. Precipitation totals about 600 mm per year. The resort has 12 mineral springs, with cold carbonic-acid hydrocarbonate-chloride soda lime waters that are used for baths and for drinking. Diseases of the cardiovascular system are treated at Podĕbrady. There are sanatoriums for adults and children, a bathhouse, rooms for drinking mineral water, cultural and sports buildings, and a beach on the Elbe.
