Podvolochisk

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Podvolochisk Raion, Ternopol’ Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located on the Zbruch River, a left tributary of the Dnestr. Podvolochisk’has a railroad station on the Ternopol’-Zhmerinka line. Industry is represented by a plastic-goods factory, brickyard, a bread-baking plant, and a butter factory. Podvolochisk also has enterprises for servicing railroad transport.
