Quang Yen

a city in the northern part of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (Bac Bo Region), near Haiphong, on Ha Long Bay. Population, about 15,000. Quang Yen is a center of an important economic region of the DRV. It has coal mining, a steam power plant, and machine shops.
