Sinoksal

a ceramic material based on Al₂O₃. The name of the material is formed from the first letters of the words sintez (synthesis), oksid (oxide), and aliuminii (aluminum). Sinoksal’ is used primarily as a high-temperature dielectric—for example, in spark plugs. Products made of sinoksal’ are manufactured by the methods of ceramic technology (seeCERAMICS).
