Warner, Olin

Warner, Olin (Levi)

(1844–96) sculptor; born in Suffield, Conn. He studied in Paris (1869–72), settled in New York City (1872), and was one of the founders of the Society of American Artists (1877). He traveled in the Northwest Territory (1889) and died in New York after a bicycle accident. He is known for his portrait medallions and busts, such as J. Alden Weir (1880).
