Location:Take Route 29 north from I-95 and follow the signs.
Facilities:4 group camps with portable toilets, picnic tables, picnic shelters,group picnic facilities, playground, trails (15 miles), visitor center,museum, nature center, open-air theater (é), historic sites.
Activities:Camping, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing,cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, interpretive programs (seasonal).
Special Features:The Continental Army, under the command of General George Washington,landed here after their historic crossing of the Delaware River onChristmas night, 1776. The exhibit galleries at the park's visitorcenter museum explore many facets of America's revolutionary conflict,and living history demonstrations are often held on week-ends at theJohnson Ferry House (see separate entry). Originally preserved for itshistorical significance, the park is also well known for its trails andwildlife habitat. A wide variety of migrating birds use the stream andravine as a resting place and for nesting.
