Watcom SQL (database, product)A family of databases from Watcom International, based on scalable technology and a SQLdatabase engine. Version 4.0 adds stored procedures andtriggers. It is designed for environments ranging fromlarge departmental networks with a diverse range of PC clientsystems, to peer-to-peer workgroups, to stand-alone PCs.It is available in stand-alone versions for Microsoft Windows, Windows NT, OS/2 and MS DOS; and multi-usernetwork server versions for Microsoft Windows, Windows NT,OS/2, NetWare NLM and MS DOS.Watcom SQLA relational DBMS for DOS, Windows, NetWare and OS/2 developed by Watcom International Corporation, Waterloo, Ontario. Watcom SQL evolved into Sybase SQL Anywhere when it was acquired by Powersoft and then Sybase. |
