Watering trough
Watering troughWestern movies almost always showed a watering trough in town for the thirsty horses of cowboys, but when rural families went to town in a wagon (still being done in some regions of the U.S. into the 1930s), their horses also needed water, and most small towns in agricultural areas had a horse-watering trough. The one shown was retired in the 1940s. |
