Whitaker Index of Schizophrenic Thinking ((h)wit′ă-kĕr), WISTA test of impairments in logic and logical thinking in individuals over the age of 16. The test has two parts: a section that measures logical responses to emotionally neutral concepts and a section that measures responses to stressful or emotionally charged concepts. In each the subject is asked to choose words that are closely paired or similar, to suggest the likely products of new inventions. The test is timed. |
