释义 | White, Edna NobleWhite, Edna Noble(1879–1954) home economist, educator; born in Fairmount, Ill. She was recruited from the Ohio State University faculty to direct the Merrill-Palmer Institute, Detroit (1919–47), where she pioneered interdisciplinary child development research and originated longitudinal studies and the study of families. Its laboratory nursery school made important contributions to the parent education movement. |
