Location:In Emmet County, 11 miles west of Mackinaw City.
Facilities:250 modern campsites, 6 rustic cabins, 3 rustic bunkhouses (group use),picnic area, playground, multi-use trails (16 miles), boat launch, snowmobile area.
Activities:Camping, fishing, swimming, bicycling (including mountain biking),hiking, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, wildlifeobservation, birdwatching, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park features wilderness areas, 26 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline,and 16 miles of trails. Much of the terrain is dense forest, and anyonegoing into the forest is advised to take a map and compass as it's easyto get lost there. (Some sections of the interior show little evidenceof ever having been occupied by man.)
