Facilities:28 campsites without hookups, showers, 2 improved group camps (including cabins and mess hall with kitchen facilities), 3 primitive group camps, picnic area, picnic shelters, trails, boat rental, visitor center, exhibit hall.
Activities:Camping, boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, nature programs.
Special Features:Located between Raleigh and Durham in the midst of high-tech Research Triangle Park, the state park encompasses Piedmont Beech Natural Area, a 50-acre tract of centuries-old trees.
