To view essential OS, CPU, disk and memory information, select the System control panel.

Very Technical

For excruciating details, do the following to display System Information:

Windows 7, 8.1 and 10
1. Windows Key+R for the Run command.
2. Type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Windows XP
1. Click Start Menu/All Programs/Accessories.
2. Select System Tools/System Information.
