Work Year

Work Year

according to Soviet law, a year of work at a particular enterprise. A work year does not coincide with the calendar year (from January 1 to December 31) but is calculated from the worker’s first day of work. For example, the first work year of someone who became employed on June 12, 1973, extended from June 12, 1973, to June 11, 1974. The category of the work year is important in determining leave time (vacation).
