Wuchou

(also Ts’angwu), a city in South China, in the Kwangsi Chuang Autonomous Region. Population, 300,000 (1971). A port on the Hsi Chiang, Wuchou is a commercial and distribution center for the basin of the river’s middle and upper course. Industries include shipbuilding, food processing, metalworking, and the manufacture of wood products.
