Wushih

(also Uch Turfan) a city in northwestern China, in the Sinkiang Uighur Autonomous Region. Wushih is the center of a farming oasis in the valley of the Tushkandar’ia (T’oshihkan) River. Agricultural raw materials are processed as a cottage industry. Coal mines and a tungsten mine are located in the vicinity of the city.
