Ying

a river in East China, a left tributary of the Huaiho. Length, 543 km. It flows primarily through a plain. The rate of flow varies according to the monsoonal pattern. The highest water level occurs during the summer. The Ying River is used mainly for irrigation. The cities of Chiehshou, Fuyang, and Yingshang are located along its course.
