Special Features:This is the first Maryland river to be classified "wild and scenic."Visitors are cautioned that the river is extremely difficult andpotentially dangerous and must be treated with respect. Public accesspoints can be found at Swallow Falls State Park, in the Sang Runarea off Sang Run Road, and in Friendsville.
