Zaganskii Ridge

a mountain ridge in the southern part of western Transbaikalia stretching east-northeast, mainly on the right bank of the Khilok River. The ridge is 130 km in length and reaches 1,348 m in elevation; it is formed of granites, granodiorites, granosyenites, and crystalline schists. It has wide, gently rolling watersheds. Pine forests cover the southern slope, while larch taiga predominates in the north.
