Zages

an urban-type settlement in Mtskheta Raion, Georgian SSR. Zages is situated on the left bank of the Kura River. It has a railroad station 20 km to the north of Tbilisi. Zages is the site of the V. I. Lenin Zemo-Avchaly Hydro-electric Power Plant. There is also a plant for repairing major power equipment.
