Zemledelie

 

(Agriculture), a monthly journal published by the Ministry of Agriculture of the USSR, dealing with scientific production. Founded in Moscow in \\939,Zemledelie was published until 1953 under the title Sovetskaia agronomiia (Soviet Agronomy)’, publication was suspended from July 1941 to 1945. The journal addresses itself to agronomists and related specialists, farm officials, division and brigade leaders, people working in scientific research institutions, and instructors and students of agricultural schools. Zemledelie deals with the improvement of farming standards and of technical production, the intensification of farming, and the mastery of rational farming systems. It also acquaints the readers with the achievements of agronomy in the Soviet Union and abroad. Circulation, 76,000 (1972).
