Zherela do Istoryi Ukrainy-Rusy

collections of documents on the history of the Ukraine from the 16th to the 18th centuries, published between 1895 and 1924 by the T. G. Shevchenko Learned Society in L’vov. In all 11 volumes were published (vols. 1–8, 12, 16, and 22), containing documents relating to the history of the cossacks and to the war of liberation of 1648–54, lustracje (surveys) of royal and gentry domains in Galicia, protocols of the local assemblies of the nobility (sejmiki), and diaries and memoirs of contemporaries. Unfortunately, the bourgeois nationalist historian M. S. Hrushevskii, who took part in the preparation and publication of the series negatively influenced its objectivity.
