Zhurnal Prikladnoi Khimii
(Journal of Applied Chemistry), a monthly scientific journal; organ of the Division of General and Industrial Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Published in Leningrad since 1928. The journal publishes original research in applied chemistry, surveys, a chronicle of events, and bibliographic lists. The objective of the journal is the promotion of the chemicalization of the national economy and the growth of the chemical industry in the USSR. The articles analyze problems concerning the technology of fuels and the application of chemistry to the production of polymeric materials, rubber, fibrous materials, dyes, paper, mineral fertilizers, silicates, and rare elements. The journal publishes articles on the study of chemical processes and of their improvement. An index of published articles is issued each year. Circulation , 3,100 (1972).
