Zolotoi

a mountain range in the Chukchi National Okrug, Magadan Oblast, RSFSR. It rises from the Anadyr’ lowlands. Length, 65 km; maximum altitude, 1,012 m (Mt. loanna). It is formed mainly of crystallized schists and effusive rocks. Mountain-tundra vegetation with lichen and shrubbery grows on the lower slopes, with stony screes and placer deposits at higher elevations.
