Zoon balanitis

(zoon, zon) [Johannes Jacobus Zoon, Dutch dermatologist, b. 1902] Infiltration of the skin of the penis by plasma cells; typically found in older men who are not circumcised. It causes a palpable, visible plaque. Synonym: balanitis circumscripta plasmacellularis; plasma cell balanitis.
