Zubrod performance scale

(zoo′brod″) [Charles Gordon Zubrod, U.S. oncologist, 1914–1999] A rating scale measuring the ability of a cancer patient to carry out the activities of daily living. The ranges are a score of 0 (fully active, unrestricted by disease) to 1 (able to carry out light work), 2 (ambulatory but resting for as much as 50% of the day), 3 (resting in bed or a chair for more than half the day), 4 (confined to bed at all times) and 5 (patient has died).
