Žerań

 

a northern suburb of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. It became a part of the city in 1951. In Žerań, situated on the right bank of the Vistula, are freight wharfs along the Žerań Canal. There is also a hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 260,000 kilowatts. Žerań has building materials enterprises and an automobile plant.
