 [kal″sĭ-no´sis] a condition characterized by abnormal deposition of calcium salts in the tissues.calcinosis circumscrip´ta localized deposition of calcium in small nodules in subcutaneous tissues or muscle.calcinosis universa´lis widespread deposition of calcium in nodules or plaques in the dermis, panniculus, and muscles.
