Dzhumgaltau
Dzhumgaltau
(Dzhumgoltau), a mountain range in the northern Tien-Shan, in the Kirghiz SSR. It extends latitudinally; on the west it is separated from the Susamyrtau Range by the ravine of the Kekemeren River. The range extends over 100 km, reaching a height of 3,948 m, and is composed of tufa-based sandstones, limestones and micaceous shales, and granites. On the slopes are meadows with dwarf savin, meadow steppes with shrubbery, and areas of savin growth and spruce forests.
