Birekte

a river in the Yakut ASSR; left tributary of the Olenek River. Length, 315 km; basin area, 8,600 sq km. It rises on the northern periphery of the Central Siberian Highland and flows south; it turns northeast after being joined by the Omonos River, which flows into it from the right. The Birekte is fed by snow and rain.
