Fandaria
Fandar’ia
a river in the Tadzhik SSR. A left tributary of the Zeravshan, the Fandar’ia is formed by the confluence of the lagnob and Iskanderdar’ia rivers. It is 24 km long (140 km measuring from the source of the Iagnob) and drains an area of 3,230 sq km. It crosses the Zeravshan Range, forming canyons and rapids. The river is fed by snow and glacier runoff. The high-water period is from May through early September. The mean flow rate is 62.6 cu m per sec. The Tashkent-Dushanbe highway passes through the valley of the Fandar’ia.
