bisalbuminaemia bisalbuminaemia A polymorphism of serum albumin, which is characterised by a double-albumin peak corresponding to both normal and abnormal albumins, as measured in the serum protein electrophoresis. While transient bisalbuminemia may occur with diabetes, nephrotic syndrome, hyperamylasemia or penicillin therapy, it is regarded as having no pathological significance. |
